Submission Formats
Working Papers (Full and Short)
The seminar emphasises work-in-progress submissions. We encourage participants to submit full papers up to 8,000 words and short papers up to 5,000 words (both not including references) for commentary and discussion at the seminar. Selected contributions will be invited to submit revised and extended versions to the associated ACM Games Special Issue. Authors may also consider other suitable publication venues.
Abstracts
We also encourage participants to submit shorter or less refined contributions up to 1,000 words, not including references. Accepted abstracts are given shorter presentation slots to provide space for discussion, comments, and feedback to guide the later submission for the ACM Games Special Issue or other venues selected by the authors. Participants may also treat this format as a way to call attention to potential co-authors and collaborators.
Please note that to support engagement, the accepted working papers and abstracts will be circulated among the participants prior to the event. The seminar presentations should encourage discussion, instead of repeating the information presented in the papers. Authors will receive communal feedback to refine their work. Seminar comments will be recorded and shared with participants.
